BBFC (British Board of Film Classification)

Nick Parks characters are very similar in the way the look and move and Tim Burton is the same with his style as Frankenweenie and Corpse Bride look very similar. and Wallace and Gromit looks a lot Like Early Man characters.

Tim Burton's stop motion animations are targeted at parental guidance. which contains content unsuitable for younger children so films like corpse bride and Frankenweenie would be rated PG but Nick Park would mostly be universal. which is suitable for everyone and contains no content unsuitable for children this includes the curse of the were-rabbit but he has recently made a film that is a PG rating called Early Man in 2018.

As you can see the difference between Tim Burton's and Nick Parks characters. Burton's looks more dark and dull and thinner then Parks character they look lighter and thicker.

  1. Some good work Tyler can you link some of your work together ie BBFC audience example link to Park/Burton something about narrative films and the difference between animators. Examples for adverts and or education link to movies maybe a comment on the percieved childlike nature of SM animation. You are trying to link all aspects of the assignment to give a good overview of SM. The bouncing balls on the side of the blog are giving me a headache.
